Proverbs 4:25-27 Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Do not turn to the right or the left; Keep your foot from evil.
The enemy attacks us constantly and we lose focus on our path. He is always in our ear telling us we're not worthy, we are bad spouses, parents, kids, etc. We will never amount to anything... It's easy for us to listen to this and easy for us to go along with it. Our daily lives are so busy that we don't take our time out for the father. When we do this, the enemy is winning. Daddy loves us unconditionally an never gives up on us, but yet we fail him daily.
Psalm 91:14-15 Because he loves me, says the Lord, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledged my name. He will call on me and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
If we would take the time to be with dad and give him our whole heart, he will protect us from anything. Our lives are like a hurricane. The center of the storm is calm and safe, the same way it is if we have God as our focus. When we step out of the eye of the hurricane by putting God to the side, the storm gets worse and we lose that focus on what matters most. The wind gets worse the further you are away from the center.
Philippians 3:13-14 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do; forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
1 Peter 5:8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
If you stay focused and give daddy everything... give him your time, listen to what he is telling you, and run after him with all your heart... You can stay in the eye of the storm and you will be safe and you will have freedom.
Jeremiah 29:13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Our God is an awesome God and no matter what we do and no matter how we run away and stray, he is always there and always loves us. He never loses focus on us.
Jeremiah 24:7 I will give them a heart to know me; that I am the Lord. They will be my people, and I will be their God for they will return to me with all their heart.
